Phone and television, straight into your ears
Calls arrive in both devices at once, without going through the phone's speaker. So does television sound, through a small transmitter — which settles at a stroke the most common argument in the living room: the volume.
Some models are controlled from an app, to adjust volume discreetly or switch programme at a restaurant.
A few limits worth knowing
A battery has a lifespan, like a phone's: after a few years, run time drops and the battery is replaced in the workshop. And a rechargeable device left out of its dock is an empty device the next day — that is a habit to build.
